November Monthly Meeting Recap

Thank you to everyone who attended our November Monthly Meeting both in-person and online! As part of the Beijing+25 thematic clusters, this month’s meeting shed light on a crucial facet of the women’s movement – Violence Against Women and Girls.

Upcoming Planning Committee Meeting

Time: 1 – 3pm
Location: CCUN, 2nd Floor
There will be a Beijing Platform for Action Study Group meeting from 12-1 PM followed by the Planning Committee meeting from 1-3 PM.
Please note that anyone is welcome to attend the Planning Committee meeting, but only NGO CSW/NY members will be officially recognized in our handbook. Additionally, in-person attendance is required for Planning Committee meetings. The Beijing Platform for Action Study Group will be available via Zoom.
Upcoming December Monthly Meeting
Date: 19 December 2019
Time: 1 – 3pm
Location: CCUN, 2nd Floor
The focus for December’s Monthly meeting is “environmental conservation, protection and rehabilitation.”
The Beijing Platform for Action Study Group will be meeting before the Monthly Meeting from 12 – 1PM. The Monthly Meeting will be held immediately after from 1 – 3PM.
The meeting will be available via Zoom and Facebook Live.
Parallel Event Updates
Due to the very large volume of over 550 applications this year, we ask for your patience in receiving your notification. We are making sure to find space for most of you and are double checking our system to guarantee accuracy. At this point we anticipate acceptance notifications to be sent by Wednesday 11 December 2019.

Women of Distinction Award Updates
The deadline to submit your nominations for the Women of Distinction Awards has been extended to tomorrow, 7 December at midnight EST.
Please send a cover letter, C.V. and letter of recommendation to woda@ngocsw.org to nominate someone. Visit our website for more information about the curriculum and nomination process.
We are especially looking for more nominations in the Latin America/Caribbean and Middle Eastern/North Africa regions to ensure diversity in our selection process! We are accepting cover letters in Spanish and French in addition to English.
Handbook Submission Updates
We are still accepting reflections, testimonies, and photographs from the 1995 Fourth Women’s World Conference for inclusion in our commemorative handbook!
Please submit your materials here. The deadline for receipt of your materials is 16 December 2019.
